Now, we’re entering our next phase of growth, powered by our new vendor marketplace, where third-party experiences can be listed on our platform for access to corporate clients. We’re looking for a strategic, data-savvy Marketing Director to lead teambuilding.com’s next era with a strong focus on building, promoting, and scaling our vendor marketplace.
As a key member of the senior leadership team, you’ll set and execute the marketing vision across multiple verticals -- but your #1 priority will be growing awareness, traffic, and conversion for our vendor listings. You’ll develop and optimize the marketing systems that attract B2B businesses to convert to paid event listings and build the systems that drive qualified leads to our marketplace and direct-to-consumer events.
You’ll collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales, and creative teams to align messaging, optimize performance, and scale our efforts. From SEO to social and PR to YouTube, you’ll lead with a holistic, ecosystem-based understanding of how each channel contributes to the success of all verticals.
This role is perfect for a results-driven marketing leader with a systems mindset, a creative eye, and a passion for scaling marketplace businesses.
- Lead marketing strategy and execution with an emphasis on our vendor marketplace vertical, including paid listing performance and buyer engagement.
- Build and execute cross-channel campaigns to promote teambuilding.com originals and marketplace listings to corporate buyers.
- Develop go-to-market playbooks for new vendor categories and ensure consistent messaging across listing pages.
- Drive SEO, content, and paid initiatives focused on growing organic and paid traffic to teambuilding.com.
- Optimize vendor marketing funnels to increase engagement, conversion, and retention rates.
- Identify performance gaps in marketplace visibility and develop data-informed strategies to address them.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Report to the Managing Director and collaborate with the CEO and COO on company-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director on defining and executing annual marketing goals, KPIs, and strategic initiatives.
- Oversee all marketing channels, including content, SEO, email, social media, YouTube, PR, and community.
- Translate strategy into clear action plans with strong project management and operational rigor.
- Lead the development of scalable marketing systems, tools, automations, and workflows to improve efficiency.
- Optimize content strategy and production for high-performing, on-brand execution across all platforms.
Team Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, coach, and inspire our in-house marketing team and freelancers/contractors, ensuring they exceed performance expectations and KPIs.
- Partner with Sales to generate leads for both direct event and marketplace bookings.
- Work in tandem with all departments to ensure alignment on customer lifecycle messaging.
- Champion a marketing and company culture that balances innovation, performance, and brand integrity.
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
- Build marketing systems that deliver real results.
- Have 5+ years in strategic marketing roles, including 2+ years in director/executive leadership.
- Have launched or grown a vendor marketplace with a paid-listings revenue-generation model.
- Have experience marketing a marketplace or multi-vertical business.
- Are obsessed with B2B lead generation and conversion performance.
- Are a strong people manager with experience overseeing an in-house marketing team, contractors and/or freelancers to deliver consistent, on-brand, high-performing work.
- Have a firm grasp of SEO, digital content, email funnels, and social media.
- Are systems-oriented and capable of building high-functioning processes.
- Are excited about embracing the ways AI and innovation can shape marketing.
- Lead with clarity, Level 10 integrity, and a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude.
- Combine creative brand thinking with data-driven performance marketing.
- Know what looks good - you have a sharp eye for brand storytelling and visual consistency, even if you’re not a designer yourself.
Compensation:
- $100,000 base salary plus up to 100% performance-based bonus based on company milestones.
