Director of Revenue Operations
About the Role
We’re hiring a remote Director of Revenue Operations to own and drive the company's end-to-end revenue strategy across sales, marketing, partnerships, and renewals. This role is responsible for building and operating the systems, processes, and execution cadence that drive predictable revenue growth, while setting revenue direction, translating executive priorities into disciplined, measurable results.
Reporting to the Managing Director, with strategic input from the CEO, the Director of Revenue Operations partners closely with executive leadership to shape revenue strategy and continuously adapt it based on performance data, market signals, and business needs.
This role leads and holds accountable the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager, ensuring tight alignment, clear ownership, and consistent execution across the revenue engine, spanning teambuilding.com Originals, our in-house designed and operated events, and our third-party vendor marketplace of independently run vendor experiences.
This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on revenue leader who can set direction and ensure disciplined execution. The Director of Revenue Operations is accountable for translating strategy into measurable results, scaling revenue systems, and building a cohesive, high-performing revenue function that supports long-term growth.
Duties & Requirements
- Develop and own revenue strategy aligned with company goals, while executing against the executive team's strategic priorities.
- Translate executive-level revenue objectives into clear, actionable plans for Sales and Marketing teams.
- Set clear revenue targets, operating plans, and success metrics across sales, marketing, and the vendor marketplace.
- Lead execution of revenue initiatives, ensuring strategies move from planning to measurable results.
- Build and operate the systems, processes, and execution cadence that drive predictable revenue growth.
- Partner with the Managing Director to refine revenue strategy and adjust based on performance and market signals, with input and direction from the C-Suite.
- Identify bottlenecks, gaps, and inefficiencies across the revenue funnel and drive solutions.
- Establish clear expectations, KPIs, and operating rhythms for revenue teams.
- Ensure alignment between sales and marketing efforts, messaging, and priorities.
- Bring forward data-driven insights, recommendations, and trade-offs to leadership.
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable the Sales Manager and Marketing Manager for revenue performance and execution.
- Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7-10+ years experience in B2B growth, marketplaces, or SaaS sales/marketing in a startup or small, growing company.
- Successfully scaled two-sided marketplaces or partner platforms.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth.
- Experience managing managers.
- Clear, practical understanding of revenue operations, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Comfortable operating in a remote environment, with strong written communication skills and flexibility working across synchronous and asynchronous communication.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Available to work with team members across a range of time-zones, with a primary focus on U.S. Time Zones.
- Regular and reliable access to high speed internet and a stable work environment.
Compensation
- $100,000, up to 15% annual performance-based bonus, and a separate bonus structure that scales with revenue goals.
